A COLLECTION OF THE IMPROMPTU, UNFILTERED ART DIALOGUES CREATED BY JOY K. AT THE CENTRE POMPIDOU, IN PARIS, DURING HER OFTEN TRAVELS THE LAST THREE YEARS. CENTRE POMPIDOU IS JOY'S FAVORITE ONE IN THE WORLD, SINCE SHE FIRST VISITED IT WHEN SHE WAS 13 YEARS OLD AND IS, FOR SURE, THE 1ST STOP SHE MAKES IN PARIS EVERY YEAR.

"On Nudity vs. Society.

Some of the visitors were staring at the art piece intensely, some of them acted like the art piece wasn't there, out of embarrassment"

- JOY K.

THE COUPLE

"I saw a ladder in the middle of the room. I couldn't resist but climb it. Still wondering whether someone left it there by mistake, or it was supposed to facilitate visitors to read the printed exhibits at the top..:)"

"Most of the times (almost always), we don't know in what way the other one of us is going to perform. We are just improvising in a large room, with more than 10 people around us watching us having fun."

- JOY K.

THE HORSE

Art Dialogue "Adoration"

"We realized, way later, that our initial impromptu reaction to the painting was quite compatible with the message of the artist. It seems that Picabia reinterprets the hands, repeating them and stretching them out in an evocation of the Fascist salute. His interpretation transposes the political virulence of German Dadaism in occupied France!"

"One of our first art dialogues among Pompidou's exhibits, by moving around either slower or faster than others. Not being a robot raised red flags to the museum's guards who stopped us, without answering why. I guess that being different - even in a museum - is still weird to the many, who can't understand you."

- JOY K.

NOT A ROBOT

"What do you see?

How do you interpret what you see? What makes you feel? Let's start a creative dialogue with the art around you..."

HANDS EVERYWHERE

"It's funny that we started playing with the alarm, but I have a hunch that the artist would have incorporated the alarm sound in his installation, if only he knew that his artwork was going to be placed in such a perimetrical display."

"For me, this building is a piece of art by itself! When I was 13 y.o. I fell in love with Centre Pompidou and since then I return back at least twice a year. I have hundreds of memories attached to it; moments with family, friends, lovers and colleagues, but the most precious of all so far, with my Anthony & our art dialogues, playing, dancing, jumping, imitating, laughing!"

- JOY K.

STAIRS TO...

"My reaction to this amazing garden is always the same: I jump around like a child. Although, it is like a cave, without lights and a huge door to close it firmly, its simple, black and white, pop aesthetic makes me feel safe, feel like being myself; joyous & joyful, without second thoughts."

"Don't let great art pass you by [nor great friends, or love, or moments]. We shall all put our phones away and keep our attention to those pieces of art we pass by every day. Notice them. Take them in, criticize them & appreciate them."
